Lynne Dale has been in network news for the last 19 years, starting as adesk assistant in Washington for ABC News in 1982. Over the next seven
years, she worked her way up through the ranks until she was promoted to
Field Producer for ABC's Atlanta bureau. For three years, she covered hard
news in 13 states for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, Nightline and
ABC's Good Morning America.
In 1992, Dale produced the ABC Primetime Live report about the grocery store
chain Food Lion. As part of her investigation, she worked undercover in a
Food Lion store for two weeks and documented with a hidden camera
potentially dangerous food handling problems and unsanitary practices.
Dale joined PrimeTime's staff in 1993 as a producer, investigating the
moving industry, age discrimination in hiring practices, and school
bureaucracies around the nation.
In 1996, Dale joined the staff of Dateline NBC where she has investigated
fraudulent practices of a national child modeling company and State Farm
Insurance's use of paper reviews.
